Died of other wounds 2/10/1918, buried St Sever Cemetery Extension, Rouen and remembered at Thurcroft War Memorial (but as Stenton Turner). b 1881 at Ashover. 1911C a quarryman at Bamford. (DC 19/10/1918 p5 ‘Of Hathersage, he was terribly wounded and had lost both of his legs. He had been twice wounded previously. He leaves a widow and one child.) Married Elizabeth Wilson b 1882 Hathersage, whose family lived at Hathersage Booths. Her father John was also a quarry man.
