Pte 12598 6 Kings Royal Rifles Corps. Enlisted 29/5/1915, (Probably Pte 3523 2/6 Bn., North Staffs before this). He later transferred to Spr 308929 R.E., WR 126183 Railways Transport Dept. Discharged 24/6/1919. b 14/8/1894 Burton-on-Trent. 1911C shown as ‘Frank’ living at 5 Moon Street, Burton-on-Trent. After the war, he moved to Sheffield to work as a railway signalman, where he met and in 1924 married Lily Hoyland (b1902 Firth Park, Sheffield). In 1929 the family moved to Crossland Road, Hathersage, when he became a railway signalman at the Hathersage signal box. In 1932/33 while still working at the Hathersage box they moved to 3 Woodland View, Grindleford, until he died in January 1986.

Capt. London Scottish, Major 11th County of London Bn., (Finsbury Rifles). Appears not to have gone overseas. b 1867 Henley, Bucks. 1911C a stock broker living in Herts.
Married Georgina (b1875 Chelsea), daughter of Thomas Norton Longman, Nether Hall, Hathersage, (Of the ‘Longman Publishing’ family). The family was at Nether Hall from at least 1891 until 1909. Her mother was President of Hathersage Mothers Union.
