67161 Notts & Derbys.  40728 Cpl.  Prince of Wales Own North Staffs, commissioned Manchester Reg’t 1918.

b 1887 Hathersage.  1891C living on Baulk Lane, Hathersage, by 1911C; living in Buxton.  The son of Emily Appleyard; James Appleyard’s (above) sister. His nephew Sydney Hind was killed in the conflict.

ANDREWS, Arthur Henry

Pte 98937  RAMC. b 1883 Hathersage. 1911C; living at Tinsley. His father John Henry Andrews was the local Police Constable but seems to have left the village by 1885 (Derbyshire Advertiser 19/6/1885 p2).
