Invalided out, Feb 1915. b 1892 at Froggatt, son of John Dronfield and Ann Elizabeth Burns. 1911C living at Eyam, a finisher at slipper factory. Married Ellen (Nellie) Russell, Jan 1917 at Sheffield and went to live at Bamford, but by 1919 was living at 4 Fern Royd, Hathersage, a ‘colliery fireman’. His son Harold b 1918, went to USA, and his two daughters, Joan b 1919 and Barbara b 1928, were all born Hathersage. He died 1954 at Stanage Edge, Outseats. His daughter Barbara married Les Bradwell, and lived and raised their family in Hathersage.
