b 1868 Bregenz, Austria, (sister to Frederick Charles Fairholme, see above). Appeared to live with his family. 1911C on holiday with Frederick in Salcombe, Devon. Red Cross record; staying at Churchdale Hall, Ashford, Bakewell. (It is possible all the Fairholme family had moved there, and by 1925 they were at Eyam?) Assistant Commandant and Quartermaster at Hathersage VAD Hospital.
FAIRHOLME, Marie Antoinette Marthe. M.B.E.
(WHW2W p 40 with picture). She was commandant of the Hathersage Red Cross VAD Hospital during WW1. She was awarded an MBE (DC 18/1/1918). b 1873 France., wife of Frederick Charles (above) living at Nether Hall in 1912 and later at Bakewell. She died 1925.
