RANSHAW, Harold George

ß ă Щ 81039 Pte 11 Notts & Derbys, later Worcestershire Regt. b1892 Grimsby, son of Reuben and Fannie Farrow Ranshaw. 1901C living in Sheffield, 1911C the family is living at 8 Crossland Rd, Hathersage, later 6 Mayfield Terrace, Hathersage, a carter. 1918 Absent Voters address; The Dale, Hathersage with his brother Reginald Scott Ranshaw, see below.

PROCTOR, John Thomas

✟ ≠ 7531 Pte 25 Bn Lancashire Fusiliers. D of W 16/8/1916.  (SDT 25/8/1916; he leaves a wife and three children, who reside at Bank Bottom, Hathersage). Grave; La Neuville British Cemetery, Corbie, Somme, France.  b 1885 Londridge Lancs. 1911C living at 2 Mayfield Terrace, Hathersage, a labourer for the water works. He married Constance Wilson.

PROCTOR, Bertram

Enlisted 1916. Pte 24057 Y & L. 23/4/1916 received shrapnel wound to hand and arm. 20/10/1916, GSW right arm.  In hospital 13/7/1917 – 13/3/1918 GSW both thighs. b 1895 Hathersage (on Military record), but on 1911C; Bertram Proctor b Sheffield, a slater, living at 52 Denby Street, Sheffield. Father William Proctor. Not able to find the family on the 1901C.
