Later 6544 K O Y L I, and 202991 K O Y L I, Labour Division. (DC 19/5/1917  ‘Shrapnel wound May 1917’) (D.C. 7/8/1917 ‘Gassed July 1917’). (DC 26/10/1918 ‘Gun Shot Wound to leg’).  b 1884 at Totley, son of Thomas and Annie Turner of ‘The Meadows’ (Crossland Road), Hathersage. Brother of Fred, Thomas, William (and Arthur who didn’t appear to serve), 1911C a railway labourer. His 1919 Voters register address, was still Crossland Road, with a military vote.
