Referred to in Newspaper articles but otherwise have been unable to find much detail about his Military service. b 28/2/1889 Fox House, brother of Harold, Alfred and John Thomas. and cousin of Frederick, George and Percy Roberts Thompson. His father was innkeeper at The Fox House Inn and his mother took over the licence after his death in 1895. The family later moved to Station Road, Hathersage. 1911C shows him living at Oddfellows Row, Hathersage and working as an engine cleaner at Derwent Water Works. Played cricket for Hathersage.
