Charles was a postman, youngest son of William Henry Middleton a plumber, b1842 Hathersage, & Jane Ellen Titterton b1846 Lancaster. She was already a widow by 1869 and her maiden name was Middleton, but not necessarily related. . She gave birth to 14 children in total. Father William Henry was the brother of Mary Middleton, Hubert Jennison’s Grandmother.
