Cpl (TA 1582) 735788 RFA. b1882 Marple, Cheshire. 1901C living with relatives at Main Road, Hathersage, together with Elizabeth Ann Ronksley, b1876 The Hill, Outseats, Hathersage. They married on 27/2/1906 and their son Percy was born 10/9/1916

RAF 111376. He was also 2/Lt 23891 TA Cadet Force in WW2.Son of Arthur Miller and Sarah Repton Creswell b1857 Hathersage. They married 1893 at Leeds. Her father William Creswell was shown as Hathersage Postmaster in 1861 Census.

F913 PO Mech, Royal Navy. Land based as he served on Armoured Cars. Saw action in the Dardanelles and Eastern Mediterranean.

b1890 Sheffield. Married Mabel Sunderland from Hathersage in 1919 and lived at the Scotsman’s Pack Inn, Hathersage.

Pte 73622 MGC. b1885 Manchester. A window cleaner who lived at Chorlton. In 1915 married Ivy Riddle b1988 Manchester, adopted daughter of Robert Frost, b1858 Netherhurst, Outseats, Hathersage, also a window cleaner in Chorlton.

Pte 1683 RAMC. b1883 Wednesbury, Staffs. An Insurance Superintendent, living in Hathersage in 1915 where his son was born.

Retired Acting Major, was recalled out of retirement Oct 1916 with rank of Major. b1858 London. Father of Oswald Edward Henry Leslie RGA, and of Dorothy Ann Leslie, born Bombay, India in 1887, who married Ashton Ashton Shuttleworth  in 1912, their son Richard Ashton Shuttleworth was KIA 28/8/1941 in WW2.

Pte 53683 RAMC. Discharged 1/10/1917, ‘no longer fit for active service’. b1896 Hastings, lived at Crossland Road, Hathersage, a Printer.
