Sgt Farrier 48614 RE. Served mainly in the Mediterranean Theatre, wounded at Salonika 28/11/1915. b1897 Burton, Westmorland, a blacksmith at Ringinglow. Died 1931. He married 7/9/1917, Ella Hickinson, b1896, daughter of William Hickinson, b1855 Hathersage. (Another family of Umbrella makers).
