His father was vicar at Ranmoor Church, Sheffield, married 25/12/1914 at Hathersage to Alice Maude Harrison Unwin b Hathersage 1894, (sister of Stuart Unwin & Frank Unwin). A Freemason initiated into Ancholme Lodge, Brigg on 17/11/1919. An Air Warden in WW2. He died 5/9/1952 at Lascelles Road, Buxton. His wife died 18/8/1973 at Upton by Chester.
