b 1887 Hathersage. 1891C living on Baulk Lane, Hathersage, by 1911C; living in Buxton. The son of Emily Appleyard; James Appleyard’s (above) sister. His nephew Sydney Hind was killed in the conflict.
Pte 98937 RAMC. He spent two years in France 16/4/1917 to 22/7/1919. b 1883 Hathersage. 1911C; living at Tinsley. Died 1921. Was he a possible victim of the Influenza epidemic? His father John Henry Andrews was the local Police Constable but seems to have left the village by 1885 (Derbyshire Advertiser 19/6/1885 p2). 1891 family living at Burton on Trent.
